አባይ ፍሰስ ብለው ከካይሮ አዲሳባ
እውነቱን ለመናገር ከጭቆናና ከአፈና በቀር ከግብጻውያን ጋራ የምንጋራው ብዙ ነገር የለም። ይህን መሰል ውጫዊ ልምዶችን የብሶት ማረሳሻ አድርጎ ከመቁጠር የበለጠና የተለየ እውነተኛ ፍላጎት ካለን እነዚህንና መሰል ጥያቄዎችን መዝለል አንችልም። ራሳቸውን የኢትዮጵያ ዴሞክራሲ እንደራሴዎች አድርገው የሚመለከቱት ብዙዎቹ ብድኖች/ግለሰቦች ይህን መሰል ጥያቄዎችን እያነሱ ለመተንተን (ትንተናው ምንም ይሁን) እና ነገሩን ለማብላላት የተዘጋጁ አይመስሉኝም። ቢያንስ ይህን እያደረጉ ስለመሆኑ ያሳወቁን ነገር ጥቂት ነው። አሁን በየአቅጣጫው የተያዘው ተራ ፉከራና ቀረርቶ ነው። “እኛ የነጻነትና የዴሞክራሲ ታጋዮች! ካይሮ ደርሰናል!” አይነት ፉከራ።
ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ አንዳች አይነት ሕዝባዊ ተቃውሞ እንደሚቀሰቀስ ለመገመት የተለየ ምጡቅ እውቀት የሚጠይቅ ነገር አይደለም። ይህንን እንኳን ሌላው ሕዝብ ኢሕአዴግ ራሱም የሚክደው ሐቅ አይደለም። አቶ መለስ ይህን አደጋ አስቀድሞ ለመከላከል “ይበጀኛል” ያሉትን እየሠሩ ነው። ጥያቄው የመለስን አምባገነናዊ አገዛዝ የሚቃወመው የተደራጀም ይሁን ያልተደራጀ ኀይል ምን እያሰበና ምን እያደረገ ነው የሚል ነው። ሕዝባዊ ተቃውሞን በራሱ የዴሞክራሲ ግብና ተስፋ አድርጎ መመልከት ግን ግማሽ አደጋ ያረገዘ አመለካከት ነው። ሲብስ ደግሞ የማሰብ ስንፍና የተጠናወተው አመለካከት ነው። ለተሻለ ነጻነትና ልማት ተጀምረው የባሰ አፈናንና ውድመትን የወለዱ ሕዝባዊ ንቅናቄዎችን/አብዮቶችን ማስታወስ አስቸጋሪ አይደለም።
ከኦባም የምርጫ ፉክክር ወዲህ የብዙ ኢትዮጵያውያንን ትኩረት የሳበ የውጭ ክስተት ካለ የግብጹ አብዮት የመጀመሪያ ይመስለኛል። ሁለቱንም በጉጉት ከተከታተልንባቸው ብዙ የግልና የጋራ ምክንያቶች አንዱ ሁለቱም በአገራችን እንዲሆኑልን ስለምንፈልግ መሆኑ አያከራክርም። ቢቻል ሁለቱንም ባይቻል አንዱን ማግኘት ትልቅ ነገር ነው፤ ሁለቱንም አለማግኘት ደግሞ ያስቆጫል። ቢያንስ ለጊዜው የእኛ እጣ ይህ ነው፤ መቆጨት። መቆጨት የለውጥ መሠረት ሊሆን ይችላል፤ መቆጨት በራሱ ሕይወት እንዳይሆን ከማስፈራቱ በቀር።
እነሆ ሙባረክ በመጨረሻ ባልተመኙት መልኩ ሥልጣናቸውን ለቀቁ። የተመኙትም ቢቀር ከዚህ በተሻለ ክብር ከሥልጣን ለመውረድ የነበራቸውን ዕድል ቀን በቀን አንድ በአንድ ሲያበላሹት ለሚመለከት ግርምት መፍጠሩ አይቀርም። አምባገነኖች የሥነ ልቦና ብቻ ሳይሆን የጤነኛ ግምት (ኮመን ሲኔስ) ቀውስ ውስጥ እንደሚገቡ የሚያስታውስ አጋጣሚ ሆኖብኛል። የግብጽ ሕዝብ እንደ ኅብረተሰብ የደረሰበት የፖለቲካ ብስለት ደረጃ የሚፈተንበት ሁለተኛውና ዋናው ምዕራፍ ሊጀመር ነው። መስቀለኛው መንገድ ለተላላፊዎች ክፍት ሆኗል። ግብጽ ወዴት ትሔዳለች? አንድ የታህሪሪ አደባባይ ታዳሚ “ግብጻውያን አራተኛውን የነጻነት ፒራሚድ አቁመናል” ብሏል። በተስፋ እንመለከታቸዋለን፤ ከመልካም ምኞት ጋራ።

ብዙዎቻችን የግብጽን አብዮት ለኢትዮጵያ እንደምንመኝ እገምታለሁ። ከምኞቱ ወጣ ብለን ጉዳዩን መመልከት ስንጀምር ግን መግባባት ቀርቶ መደማመጥ መቻላችንን እጠራጠራለሁ። በዚህ ዙሪያ የሚነሡት ክርክሮች በተለያዩ ጥያቄዎች ዙሪያ የሚያጠነጥኑ ናቸው። ከጥያቄዎቹ መካከል የሚከተሉት ይገኙበታል።
1. ¬የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ፣ በተለይም ወጣቱ ይህን አይነት እንቅስቃሴ ለመጀመርና ለመምራት የሚያስችለው ዝግጅት አለው? (የግብጹ አብዮት “መሪ የለውም” ቢባልም ድንገት ከሰማይ የወረደ አለመሆኑንም መዘንጋት የለብንም። ወጣቶች በተለያየ መንገድ ሲያብላሉትና ሲያቀጣጥሉት የሰነበቱት ጥያቄ ነበር።)
2. የኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት (መለስና የቅርብ ጓዶቻቸው)፣ እና በአምሳላቸው የተፈጠሩት ብሔር ተኮር ድርጅቶች ምን እርምጃ ይወስዳሉ? ከእነርሱ በተጻራሪ የቆሙት የፖለቲካ ኀይሎችስ ምን ሚና ይጫወታሉ?
3. እንቅስቃሴት ከሚፈጥረው “የማይቀር” ግጭት ባለፈ “ያልታሰበ” ደም መፋሰስ ሲያስከትል የሚችልበትን አደጋ ምን ያህል መቆጣጠር ይችላል?
4. የኢትዮጵያ ጦር ሚና ምን ሊሆን ይችላል?
5. ይህን መሰል አብዮት ቢቀሰቀስ በአገሪቱ የፖለቲካ መዋቅር፣ ኢኮኖሚ እና የጸጥታ ጉዳይ ላይ የሚያስከትለው ውጤት ምን ሊሆን ይችላል? ጎረቤት አገሮች ምን ሊያደርጉ ይችላሉ?
6. ተቃዋሚ ፓርቲዎች ምን አቋም ይወስዳሉ፤ በሒደቱስ የሚኖራቸው ተሳትፎ ምን ሊሆን ይችላል?
7. ከሙባረክ በኋላ የምትኖረው ግብጽ እና ከመለስ በኋላ የምትኖረው ኢትዮጵያ ይመሳሰላሉ? ለምን/እንዴት?
8. የምርጫ 97 ልምድ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ሊፈጠሩ ስለሚችሉ ሕዝባዊ ንቅናቄዎች የተወው ትምህርት ምንድን ነው?
እነዚህንና መሰል ጥያቄዎችን ማንሣት “የእኛ ጉዳይ ተስፋ የለውም፤ አደጋው ስለሚያል ያለው ባለበት ከመቀጠሉ ሌላ መውጫ የለም፤ ወይም ሕዝቡ ለነጻነት ያለውን ጥያቄ መግፋትና ትግሉን መቀጠሉ አያዋጣም፤ ጥያቄው ለሌላ ጊዜ ይተላለፍ” ብሎ እንደመጠየቅ መወሰድ የለበትም። ንግግሩን በየአጋጣሚው “የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ ነጻነት፣ ፍትሕ፣ ዴሞክራሲ ይገባዋል አይገባውም? ይህን ታምናለህ አታምንም?” ወደሚል ደረጃ ማውረድ ከጀመርንም በተዘዋዋሪ ለዴሞክራሲ ይደረጋል የሚባለውን ትግል መጉዳታችን አይቀርም፤ ባለህበት እርገጥ።

የግብጽን እና የቱኒዚያን ሰላማዊ አብዮች ማድነቅና መመኘት አንድ ጥሩ ነገር ነው። እነዚህ አብዮቶች በአንድ ወይም በሌላ መልኩ በኢትዮጵያ እንዲደገሙ መቀስቀስና መዘጋጀት ደግሞ ሌላ ጉዳይ ነው። የኢትዮጵያው አብዮት ሊኖረው የሚችለውን ገጽታ (ቢያንስ በግምት) ከወዲሁ መተንበይ እና ራስን ከፖለቲካዊ ድጋጤ ለማዳን የምር ማሰብ ግብጻውያን ለሁላችንም የተዉልን የቤት ሥራ ነው። ይህን ፈተና ምን ያህል እንደምንወጣ ለመገምገም ይህ ጉዳይ በየግላችን በኢትዮጵያ ሚዲያ (የአገር ቤትም የውጭም) እና የፖለቲካ ኀይሎች ዘንድ ለምን ያህል ጊዜ መነጋገሪያ ሆኖ እንደሚቆይ መመልከቱ የመጀመሪያው አመላካች ሊሆን ይችላል።
የጥንቱ አገርኛ ግጥም እንደሚለው አባይን ለመሻገር ወይ መታገስ ወይ ድልድይ መሥራት ግድ ነው።

you have tried to reason out by mentioning some excuses for not Ethiopians achieve their dream. but, Freedom can be triggered from any simple or bold things & u missed that.
1. Military Generals are corrupt in Egypt so do woyanes.

Now, let me highlight some of the probable driving force for our youth to be free & to lead our country in a new era.

I’ve been following the Egypt case so closely and I’ve been posting lots of interesting updates, pictures and other things on my facebook page. I was in Addis when the January 25 revolution started and from the very beginning lots of people were asking me whether I wanted the same thing to happen in Ethiopia. Some of them have already concluded that I’m calling for ‘Revolution’ by doing so. I even heard some random comments that there has to be a way for Ethiopians to follow the foot-steps of Tunisians and Egyptians. But for me … it’s totally foolish to make a comparison between Tunisia/Egypt and Ethiopia in relation to the upheaval. Of course, someone who dares to go beyond the emotional engagement may raise the same question as you do here. I think we need to admit that the situation in Ethiopia is by far better than the situation in Egypt. I’m not denying the fact that EPRDF is heading to or already a dictatorial regime (undemocratic and unrepresentative). But its undying attempt to galvanize unconditional support for its ideas and practices, the institutional mechanisms through which it controls the entire society (esp. in urban areas) like the youth forums, youth associations, women’s associations and forums, the league members, the civil servants who are members of the party, the military, police and security forces committed to the party’s ideology, the business group that have strong clientalistic relationship with the party…what have you….are serious challengers for anything against EPRDF….because they know what would they lose if EPRDF is gone. On the other hand, I still feel that the so called opposition group is too impotent in articulating and addressing the core questions that the people are asking rather busy with its own rubbish business which makes the people so hopeless in not having a ‘leader’, in such cases or even an ‘alternative’ in normal circumstances. How can someone imagine seeing an upraise in Ethiopia after witnessing a ‘demonstration’ against ‘Human Rights Watch’ two days after the shameful election of May 2010.

Nice article! but i am puzzled by the wests.After the people topple Mubarek, they started to freeze his close to 70 billion dollar illicit money in swiss and other places. Of course, i would not surprise if i heard Meles money also reached to billion of dollars. In any case we need to erect the third revolution statue next to 1966 and 1997, and the time is now. But, the young intellectuals should device new approaches and new way to step meles’s government down

የኦባማ በአሜሪካ የውጭ ግንኙነት ፖሌስይ ላይ ለውጥ ይመጣል ብሎ ከማሰብ የመጣ ምኞት ነው ።
የግብፁ ግን በራሱ በወጣቱ የመፈስ ጥንካሬና አልበገር ባይነት ላይና የለውጥ ፍላጎት እንዲሁም በህዝብ ታሪክ ሰሪነት ላይ የመተማመን ጉዳይ ነው ። የግብፁ የወጣቶች አብዮት በራሱ ብቻ ተወስኖ የሚቀር አይደለም ። ይልቁንም በተመሳሳይ አምባገነንነት በበረታባቸው ሃገራት በሙሉ የሚዳረስ ነው የአሜሪካንም ሆነ የሌሎች ሀገራትም የውጭ ፖልስይ አዲስ ቅኝትንም ማስከተሉ አይቀሬ ነው።
ስለ አትዮጵያ ተቃዋሚ ድርጅቶችም ሆነ ስለወጣቱ የተፃፈው ግን “አትዮጵያውነትን” ገና “የትግል ተለማማጅ” ያህል አሳንሶ የመመልከት አባዜ ያለበት ይመስለኛል ። “ቀረርቶና ፉከራ” የሚሉት ቃላት ያልተሞረዱ ናቸው ። “ሰላማዊ ትግል” እና “ህዝባዊ አመፅ” ለአትዮጵያ ህዝብም ሆነ ወጣቶች አዲስ አይደሉም ። ጊዜው የአብዮት ጊዜ ነው ።ማንም አምባገነን ከዚህ አብዮት ማምለጥና መዝለቅ አይችልም ።
አብዮቱ ደግሞ ለዲሞክራሲና ለሰብአዊ መብቶች መከበርና ለዘላቂ ልማት የሚደረግ ነው ።ምንም መስቀለኛ መንገድ የለም ። መስቀለኛ መንገድ ካለ ታሪክን የሁዋሊት ለመፃፍ መሞከር ይመስለኛል።
መሰፍን ጥሩ ተመልክተኸዋል። ለእኔ ግን ዋናው ነገር የምዕራቦች ሃሳብ ምን ይሆናል የሚለው ነው። በብዛት የተመጠነ የነጻነት ልብስ እንደሚሰጡን አንዘንጋ። አቶ መለስም ቢሆን በራሳቸው ያመጡት አይደለም። የሰጡአቸውን ይዘው ያለመልቀቅ አባዜ ውስጥ ስላሉ ነው እንጂ። አሁንም ቢሆን በብዛት ላነሳኸቸው ጥያቄዎች በተለይ ለወደፊቱ አቅጣቻዎች በምራባውያን ጥምዘዛ የሚያጠነጥን ይመስለኛል።
አስፋው የምትባል አስተያየት ሰጪ (አንተው ራስህ ወያኔ ትመስላለህ)! ሕዝባችን በሰከነ አዕምሮ ሳያስብ አስገብታችሁ የሳት ራት ለማድረግ አመቻች ትመስላለህ። ስለዚህ ደርሰህ ነገሮችን ዝም ብለህ ከምታሰፋ መስፍን ምን ማለት ፈልጎ እንደጻፈ ደግመህ አምብበው።
የግብጽ ወጣቶች በደምብ ተደራጅተው አመጹን መርተዋል። እንዲሁ ሕዝቡ አልወጣም! የራሳቸውን ስልት እየተጠቀሙ ነው ህዝቡን ወደ አደባባይ በውስጡ ያለውን ጥያቄ ይዞ እንዲወጣ ያደረጉት። እናም በኢትዮጵያ እውነተኛውን ለውጥ የምንመኝ ከሆነ እንዴት ሊከተሉ የሚችሉትን ችግሮች መቀነስና ማስተካከል ይቻላል የሚለው የሁላችን ጥያቄ ቢሆን?
1¬የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብ፣ በተለይም ወጣቱ ይህን አይነት እንቅስቃሴ ለመጀመርና ለመምራት የሚያስችለው ዝግጅት አለው? (የግብጹ አብዮት “መሪ የለውም” ቢባልም ድንገት ከሰማይ የወረደ አለመሆኑንም መዘንጋት የለብንም። ወጣቶች በተለያየ መንገድ ሲያብላሉትና ሲያቀጣጥሉት የሰነበቱት ጥያቄ ነበር።)
True, the Egyptian youth have been thinking over it, it seems that they were on the same side the card. Ethiopian youth, on the contrary, have diverse views. If the young people had the same drive to oust Meles, we could have seen some kind of movement by now. The reality is:-We just don’t want to die for nothing. To add, some of us are appreciating what EPRDF is doing, and we are hopeful to see the first peaceful transfer of power from Meles to Mr x after 5 yrs.
2.የኢትዮጵያ መንግሥት (መለስና የቅርብ ጓዶቻቸው)፣ እና በአምሳላቸው የተፈጠሩት ብሔር ተኮር ድርጅቶች ምን እርምጃ ይወስዳሉ? ከእነርሱ በተጻራሪ የቆሙት የፖለቲካ ኀይሎችስ ምን ሚና ይጫወታሉ?
Part of the diaspora wish to remove Meles by any means, without even thinking about the fate of the nation afterwards. If I was to ask Mesfin Negash to mention a single opposition leader who can stabilize the country of diverse views and diverse problems after such a chaos, he could mention no one. If he can, the Ethiopia I know is not Ethiopia, and I will be forced to take my words back.
3.እንቅስቃሴት ከሚፈጥረው “የማይቀር” ግጭት ባለፈ “ያልታሰበ” ደም መፋሰስ ሲያስከትል የሚችልበትን አደጋ ምን ያህል መቆጣጠር ይችላል?

Well Egypt after Mubarek is on the hands of the military at the moment, Ethiopia after ayte Meles is on the hands of the constitution and young people like you, me and EPRDFites.
8.የምርጫ 97 ልምድ ኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ ሊፈጠሩ ስለሚችሉ ሕዝባዊ ንቅናቄዎች የተወው ትምህርት ምንድን ነው?
The 2005 protest has given loads of lessons for all of us. To mention:
For EPRDF –the opportunists should be the targets rather than peaceful demonstrators
For you and me – We kind of need to know, precisely, for what reason we are jumping onto the streets to protest. It is really not fun my friend.
For the oppositions – Having an election sign related to fingers, palm, flowers, roses, fruits are simply miraculous.

I don’t know in which part of the World you are living. But I am sure your world has nothing to do with Ethiopia and your words has nothing in common with what most Ethiopians think. You have said some of you are happy, I bet you do.
I know that you have access to the internet. Just make few minutes of serfing, it is full of the miseries of Ethiopians, Ethiopians losing hope, languishing in abject poverty, humiliated and being enslaved in Arab countries, even migrating to Sudan and Yemen. The distressing situation of our country is no secret. The whole world knows it. It is so narcissistic that you claim to talk about the feeling of the youth while your views clearly represent the views of the sycophant cronies of the regime.
You mentioned about the possiblities of ethnic strife if the regime is removed now. But you didn’t try to explain why after 20 years of so called ‘ethnic-based’ federalism we still are having such worries. What do you suggest then? shall we wait for fortune to correct the wrongs?
We have experienced a state of political power vaccum at least twice in the recent past. The period immediately after the collapse of the Derg regime was particularly so special. We can count on the pround and great people of Ethiopia though we shouldn’t write off the possibilities of Woyane instigated conflicts. The Mafia minded Woyanes will not hestitate to do anything to cling to power.
Finally, whatever you and me write here will not change the reality. The facts on the ground will dictate what is going to happen in the country. Even Meles Zenawi will not buy your comments. That is why the Woyanes are toiling day and night, sleepless, to pre-empt any move that could be a threat to their hold on power (I didn’t say to ‘protect the constitution’)
I agree on one point with you. The oppositions will not and should not have any role on any form of public uprising in Ethiopia (if there should be any).
Fact
Indeed it is a fact there are beneficiaries of the current system in Ethiopia. The same in Egypt, there are cronies of Mubark who were beneficiaries of the system. The overwhelming majority of Ethiopians hate the current system. It is tremendously unfair system. Titled towards one group. The youth see no future in the country. That is why they are leaving the country in droves. Millions are sinking lower into poverty. Ethiopians have more reason than Egyptians to rise.
EPRDF is banking on all these new members it recruited. These new members have no loyalty to the party. As they say for the most part they are rent seekers. Can you imagine anyone convinced by the performance nd ideology of EPRDF and joining its rank. Specially these days. Outside of TPLF members the rest are for the most part rent seekers (Kiray sebsabi). That is the realty in Ethiopia

I know your “go go” strategy! This is what dictators do, so that it will end up with fruitless! Please once again revise yourself. Everything should have plan and it is nice to look at it in different direction. This is what I understood from Mesfin’s article! He did not raise something against about change rather he pointed out what to be worked out! This should be taken seriously. What is your problem of buying such idea and coming with alternative strategy? If you are real Ethiopian thinking of the once who salivate freedom, please list out what to be done. Together we can make a difference.
